This October, join Oldies 96-9 to help raise awareness of breast cancer, its causes, diagnosis, and treatment. Whether you know someone who's been affected by breast cancer, or are just curious to know more about the disease, this page is filled with information, inspirational stories, and links to lend a hand or dollar in efforts to find the cure. Each October we observe Breast Cancer Awareness month - help us make 2012 the year where we get closer to ending this disease once and for all!
You Can Help Fund Free Mammograms!
We’re trying to Paint Broome County Pink in thte month of October. We are doing this in remembrance of all of the Mothers, Grandmothers, Sisters and friends that have lost the fight with Breast Cancer.
Won’t you join us by purchasing your pink light bulbs at the Vestal Walmart or at our Celebration Of Women Event at Traditions At The Glen on October 18th from 5pm-8pm. Tune in to Star 105.7 the coming weeks for your chance to win a $250 Walmart Gift card, a Vera Bradley Bag from Portobello Row, and other great prizes. All proceeds go to support “Making Strides” in our community.
